Some fish are bright, some are shy, and the weather refuses to sit still. Hook & Splash is a lively fishing game where players choose a lagoon spot and try to complete colourful catch cards before a splash changes the plan.
Turns are short enough to keep everyone involved. Picking a safe colour is often sensible, but the next weather card might make your boldest cast the best one.
Meet the bits!
- Lagoon board
- Wooden fish and boat pieces
- Catch challenge cards
- Weather cards
- Printed rules
Here’s your turn
Pick your spot
Move your boat to an open part of the lagoon.
Make a catch
Match a fish to the colour challenge in front of you.
Watch the weather
Turn a weather card and adapt before the next cast.
The forecast has other plans.
A colour you need is visible in the lagoon. You choose a position with that challenge in mind, then the weather changes the situation for the next cast. Show new players both the catch card and the weather card so they can see why a good plan sometimes needs a quick adjustment.
Good company for short, changing turns
Hook & Splash suits two to four people who like reacting to what appears on a common board. Its ages-seven-and-up guide is a starting point; make sure everyone can follow the colour challenges. For a fifth or sixth player, look at the other boxes before choosing.
